31 January 2022 It's the time to say goodbye to January of this year. The basic teaching model was introduced and the class made us to think three essential questions. ◆ why to teach?  ◆what to teach?  ◆how to teach? It is essential to pose these questions ourselves to improve our thoughts, skill and interest in teaching.   Sir gave some tips in preparing notes and introduced the book ' Principles and Practices of Education' by  J S Warrant. The guidances he had given were really helpful for a student and  for a student teacher too. " It is not what is poured into a student that counts but what is planted." Developing Scientific Temper- Amplifying knowledge and Reasoning

"What science is learning about the laws that govern the Universe, gives us the power to transform the world into the closest thing to paradise that any of us will ever see. This knowledge did not come from sacred texts, or the revelations of prophets. Science is the only way of knowing—everything else is just superstition.”  Scientific attitude is the most important outcome of scientific teaching and it is something which enable us to think rationally and logically. For developing the nation in all spheres (political, economic and social) and for promoting tolerance among people for different thoughts scientific attitude become significant.    For the betterment of the field of science in India, it is very important to develop scientific temper among the students or the future generations.   Here I wish to share my assignment on the topic 'developing scientific temper among students'.  Please click the link below to avail the same๐Ÿ‘‡ ASSIGNMENT

Embracing the challenges!๐Ÿคž

The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered the new ways of learning. All around the world, educational institutions started looking on online platforms for continuing the process of educating students. 2022 also started with an opportunity to experience online classes. So it's essential to consider this as a challenge.  Now it's turned a week of online education and I think it may long for some more days. When it was announced to start the online classes I was just remembering some social media memes.๐Ÿ˜€   Actually speaking, the online classes we have at MTTC are really interesting. The active participation of students as well as the teachers make it comfortable like an offline one. The contribution of M.Ed interns were also appreciable. Our aim is to acquire knowledge, doesn't allow anything to hinder us from that. The week had given so many valuable information. The classes explored the areas of Philosophy, Sustainable Development, Emotional Quotient, ICT, Human Mind.

It's all in the MIND!

1 2 January 2022 Today, January 12 is celebrated as national youth day and it is the birthday of Swami Vivekananda who introduced the world to the Indian philosophies of  Vedanta and Yoga.  The main objective of NYD is to promote rational thinking among the youth. Youth is expected to rise to the values, principles and beliefs that Vivekananda lived by. To make this possible the theme of youth days keeps changing, every year there are different themes.  The theme for National Youth Day 2022 is “ IT'S ALL IN THE MIND ” A very meaningful theme in the present scenario! We are now passing through a pandemic situation and it had affected the world as well as our country adversely. A post Covid era need a strong group of people with creativity and resilience. For that a healthy mindset is important.  The youth of our country had already affected with unemployment and it has increased due to the pandemic. The financial instability and effectiveness of online educa

Change before you have to!

January 10, 2022 A pleasent day like sunshine. The week started with a lot of hope, energy and happiness. In the first hour itself got a chance to recollect the human journey, the evolution of science! Polishing stones invented fire, fire in turn ignited our thoughts, our living style-our culture. The sequential evolution from stone to wood, wood to bronze and bronze to iron had made a significant base for the human evolution and by the end of BCE human realised many facts about the universe, their own existence and capabilities. Later science and mathematics developed which in turn helped to improve the living style and facilities.  From 1500 AD came the rapid changes. The time of revolution! The inventions and discoveries had spread scientific attitude among people and it resulted in the denial of racism, superstitions etc by majority and light was thrown to the humanitarian views. The scientific discoveries affected all fields of society including economy and became a m

A day of content!๐Ÿ˜Š

07 January 2022 Yes, it is a friday! Friday is my favourite day from school time itself. I love going college but I love holidays more.๐Ÿ˜   The day was usual. We had the Optional class in the first two hours. Dona Ma'am, the M.Ed trainee handled the first hour and we had an interesting interaction with Neena Ma'am in the next hour. When we were asked to assemble for the art and theatre class I expected a tiring theory class. Surprisingly, erasing all the expections came the hero of the day, Reju sir! A little man with tons of energy! Activities filled with fun was something new for us. We have never explored the chance of using our auditorium in this way -The magic of an artist. He made the two hours mesmerizing. "Theater takes place all the time - wherever one is - and art simply facilitates persuading one this is the case." The afternoon session was handled by M.Ed trainees. Dona Ma'am, Shabana Ma'am and Sathyalekha Ma'am introduced their topics in a goo

The flow of time. Black holes. Time travel !

My inner mind is so happy because I finally read this book. The last book I have read in 2021! I decided, after looking at the books I read in 2021 that I needed to read a science book apart from fictions I always prefer. So picked this up and I was not disappointed.  From the beginning of the universe, A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME  takes you on a journey that is very special, it describes in a very easy way how we got to understand the world and all the rules that govern the universe. It also explores the beginning of the universe, black holes, time travel. With the cheekiness of Stephen Hawking’s writing, you get to understand topic that are very complex and sometimes confusing, physics is somewhat a difficult area of science, but one that is amazingly interesting. Hawking makes you fall in love with his work, his theory and physics. I won’t lie, it’s a hard book to read. It gets heavy at some points but it’s easy to read too, I mean it’s not a textbook. I had to
