" Space is for everybody. It's not just for a few people in science or math, or for a select group of astronauts. That's our new frontier out there, and it's everybody's buisness to know about space" - Christa McAuffle
On 12th April The Physical Science Association, 'Cosmos' is celebrated international day of human space flight. April 12, 1961 was date of the first human space flight carried out by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet citizen. This historic event opens the way for space explorations for the benefit of all humanity and on the same day we had done our Association Inauguration too.
Prof. Dr. Anand Narayanan sir from IIST was our chief guest and resource person. He gave an excellent talk on the topic 'Are we alone in the universe?' The theories supporting the existence of beings outside the earth were beautifully explained by Anand Sir. Also he spent his time to answer the queries by students as well as teachers.
Our session had some video presentations and a game session.Knowledge when combined with fun has its own merits. It enhances our interest and improves our way of thinking. Thus we organised a fun game session and it was 'Hey, Find me!!' Some interesting scrambled words and picture puzzles were shown and we got good response from the participants.
The programme was quite good and we could spread the significance of space research and study.
